Frequently asked question: How does an interlock device work?
Answer: When you blow into your ignition interlock device, you're providing a breath test sample to start the vehicle. The device then measures your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You also will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
