If they’re not, don’t let them get behind the wheel no matter what it takes. Take their keys, ask them to stay over for the night, or find them a sober ride home.

Football season is known for drinking and celebrating which makes travel during this time potentially dangerous. A great way to avoid drunk driving is to have a game plan. Just like the coaches come up with a game plan before kickoff, you should make sure you know how you’re getting back home BEFORE you head out to that party. Your safe driving plan may include public transportation, a designated driver, a taxi, a ridesharing service, or something else other than driving home after drinking.
