What hurricane season means for your interlock program

POSTED ON: 08/17/2023

If you live in the South, you're used to planning your life around hurricane season. It's been a quiet hurricane season so far (luckily) but we know how quickly that can change. NOAA forecasters with the Climate Prediction Center, a division of the National Weather Service, predict near-normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic this year. But all it takes is one storm to turn life upside down. Don't wait 'til there's a storm in the Gulf of Mexico to start thinking about what a hurricane means for your interlock device.

Alternative Locations for Service

If your regularly visited location is closed due to poor weather conditions or damage, we may be able to reschedule you at a different service location. Some of the Smart Start of Alabama service locations that might work for your situation include:

interlock alternative location: Andalusia

interlock alternative location: Birmingham

interlock alternative location: Boaz

interlock alternative location: Decatur

interlock alternative location: Foley

interlock alternative location: Mobile

What hurricanes mean for interlocks

During a hurricane, you have enough to worry about. Your interlock device service shouldn't add stress. If you are experiencing a natural disaster like a hurricane in your area, our team at Smart Start of Alabama is here to help you. Your main priority should be keeping yourself and your family safe during this stressful time. Our team has helped clients through natural disasters many times before, and we'll be here to help you too. We will provide appropriate services related to your ignition interlock program so that you're not left stranded. Your interlock is designed to keep the roads safer, and hurricanes shouldn't affect that. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about what an approaching storm could mean for your device. Call us at 1-866-447-8686 if you need assistance before/after a storm or at any other time.
